What is asthma?
Asthma, also called bronchial asthma, is a disease that affects people’s lungs. It’s a chronic (ongoing) condition, which means it doesn’t go away and unfortunately needs ongoing medical care.
Asthma affects approximately more than 25 million people in the US This total includes approximately more than 5 million children. Asthma can be life-threatening if left untreated.
